All-Church Fast

January 2021

Let’s pray together for what God wants to do in 2021.

Day 5

We were saved to serve (Eph. 2:10) and we received the Holy Spirit to bear much fruit to the Father’s glory. (John 15:8)

This year, may we not only bear much fruit FOR You, but be exceedingly effective THROUGH You.

The servants

  • May each attender of our church grow in their understanding of Your calling, and have their gift-mix clarified more and more.
  • May each Fiercer know the deep significance and reward that comes from being your servant.
  • Grant us the heart and mind of Christ as we step out in faith to serve you.
  • May we not operate from a spirit of fear, but boldness kindness, and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7)
  • Exceedingly generous with our time, talents, and treasure that neglect would not slow the expansion of Your kingdom.

The work

  • Grant us open doors for ministry. (1 Cor. 16:9)
  • A higher percent of our church actively and consistently serving
  • More trained and effective servant leaders, growing in integrity and excellence, filled with wisdom and the Holy Spirit (Acts 6:3)
  • The obvious leading of Your Spirit into each ministry initiative
  • Make our hands successful as we build systems and structures to promote Your purposes.
  • And like You Lord, may we only do what we see the Father doing (John 5:19).

Day 4

Great God, we seek You first this year. Grant us clarity, wisdom, and zeal to obediently respond to YOUR revealed will in our lives, families, and church (Col. 4:12).

May nothing keep us from DESPERATION for the plans and purposes of God ABOVE ALL OTHERS. We cry our for spiritual insight and Holy Spirit power (John 6:36) to partner with You in ALL THINGS, and walk in unity for Your Glory (Eph. 4:1).

In every area of life, we ask that our hearts be filled with YOUR goals, priorities, burdens, and zeal.

Grant us today, and all year, to know and prioritize YOUR agenda and ways in the power of the Holy Spirit, for Your Glory, in Jesus’ name.

Day 3

Salvations. We ask that guests, friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers would completely put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior, Forgiver, and King.

Grant those we know and love, and those we don’t know yet, both sorrow for sin (Acts 11:18) and saving faith (Acts 16:14).

You have given US the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18) and sent US to preach the Gospel (John 20:21-23). May the Gospel message resound consistently from our church, and may Your sheep personally hear Your voice as you call them out by name (John 10:3).

In Jesus’ Name, we must have souls. At Your leading, help us be intentional and bold with those You’re softening and preparing to receive Jesus. May no seed be stolen from the enemy (Matt. 13:4). And may each new believer be planted in healthy Bible soil where they will grow and thrive!

Day 2

May we be a people that is first and foremost characterized by worship (Exodus 7:16). Whatever else happens this year, we pray that we would worship You.

Jesus, You have taught us that the Father seeks those who will worship in Spirit and Truth (John 4:23). Grant us grace then, whether in public and private, to worship You in the power of the Spirit, and according to who You have revealed Yourself to be in Your Word.

May our view of You overpower every other discouraging thought, and may our worship-produced confidence in You prompt radical boldness and obedience.

As a church and as individuals, please help us tackle this year with a quickness to give YOU the glory and seek to see YOU glorified.  May You grant us a holy jealousy for YOUR GLORY ALONE!

In Your mercy, we ask for the assistance of your spirit to worship you with our gifts, our personalities, opportunities, our bodies, our minds, our resources, and the overflow of our hearts.

“Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.” (Jude 24–25, NLT)
